Ficus Benjamin is grown outdoors and as a houseplant in homes and offices and is a popular feature in interior commercial landscaping. It is a rare tree that has a good tolerance for the limited light conditions of indoor environments.

Ficus Benjamin is one of the best plants for improving air quality indoors. It has one of the top removal rates for air toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene. It is a fast grower and may need to be re-potted up to once per year as it can easily outgrow its situation. Trim to shape as you desire. This plant is not included with a decretive pot.

This plant comes in a gift box and includes a gift card personalised with your message.

Is a Ficus Benjamina easy to care for? Ficus Benjamina is relatively easy to care for, but it can be sensitive to environment changes such as temperature, light, or being moved around often.
How much light does a Ficus Benjamina need? Ficus Benjamina thrives in bright, but indirect, sunlight. In lower light conditions, growth might slow and the leaves may droop. A stable, well lit position is ideal.
Is a Ficus Benjamina safe for pets? Unfortunately, Ficus Benjamina should be kept away from cats or dogs. The leaves are toxic if ingested, and the sap can cause skin irritation.
Does a Ficus Benjamina need warmth/humidity? Ficus Benjamina prefers warm indoor temperatures and moderate humidity. Normal household conditions in New Zealand are ideal, but just try and keep the plant out of the direct heat from a heat pump, air conditioner, or heater.
How often should I water a Ficus Benjamina? Ficus Benjamina prefers evenly moist soil but should not be overwatered. Ensure the pot has good drainage to stop the plant sitting in water for extended periods of time.
Planting & Care Advice The plant is sensitive to cold and should be protected from strong drafts. It requires a moderate amount of watering in summer, and only enough to keep it from drying out in the winter.
